Of course the Iranians now want to put their nuclear sites on display for the IAEA - especially after they've been "cleaned" of all nuclear bomb evidence. See this AP Report:
Satellite images of an Iranian military facility appear to show trucks and earth-moving vehicles at the site, indicating an attempted cleanup of radioactive traces possibly left by tests of a nuclear-weapon trigger, diplomats told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
I agree with the President - War is an awful thing that must be avoided at all costs. But in this case, is the cost of inaction Israel itself? How can we justify ordering Israel not to attack Iran when all we care about is a dollar more on a gallon of gas, when Israel's very existence is at stake? I say we cut the Israelis lose, and like President Obama promised, we have their back. We join in to make sure Iran can never threaten anyone, ever again.
With half the US Air Force and two US Aircraft Carriers (With a third on the way) within striking distance we don't have to invade Iran - a combined US-Israeli air campaign lasting days can obliterate most Iranian targets from 30,000 feet...without ever presenting a target to the Iranians. We have the capabilities.
